WILDFLOWER ARRANGEMENT #1 - BLUE CORN AND CAMOMILE

Year in year-out, I make the most of what nature has to offer. I love decorating my home and I would like to share one of my passions and that is creating floral arrangements from wildflowers that I gather during dog walks. Vienna, the city where I live, has plenty of wildflowers that are growing abundantly particularly in the outskirts and fields in and around the city.

I would normally gather my flowers from the neighboring fields near our home during walks with Lily, our lovable chihuahua princess. I particularly scour the wheatfields as well as the woods for any growing wildflowers. The flowers I pick are not endangered species so it´s free to get them. They grow abundantly here and one may surely pick varieties that grow according to the season. The humidity in our city is high and the changing weather which is mostly raining , probably leads to the growth of so many plant species.

I have a small collection of vases and potteries that I use for my arrangements. They came either as a gift or from the flea market bought at a fraction of a cost. I try to use a vase that suits the colors of the flowers picked as in the vase I used in this post. I change the vase water daily....with that, the flowers arranged could last for about 3 days.

I have done more than a hundred arrangements 98% of which are from wildflowers... I hope that you like what you see here.
