This photo was taken while on a walking tour in the Burren National Park, west Ireland. The word "Burren" comes from an Irish word "Boíreann" which means a 'rocky place'. The name is to the point, since the ground lacks soil cover and instead it is covered in limestone for a large part. The limestone however being rich in minerals is ideal for a wide variety of flora.
