Snail Crawling Through the Grass

in wildlife •  7 years ago  (edited)

Good morning Steemians!

This morning I was taking a walk around my future fruit forest and noticed a shell on the ground. When I looked closer I noticed it was a snail. This is the second one I've seen at this house, and I'm sorry to say I stepped on the first one in the lanai.

It was early morning, a few months ago, and I had just opened to the door to let the dogs out. I took one step out the door and heard a loud crunch. It was a poor little snail. I felt pretty bad, but continued on with my usual morning routine.

I made sure I didn't step on the snail that you see here

I usually don't get a chance to see snails so this was cool. The last time I saw one before the other one I accidentally stepped on was in Castellón de la Plana, Spain, as I walked to class in 2009. There were dozens on the wet streets.

I like to look at them - they have such cool designs on their shells.

Thanks for stopping by, Steemians! Hope you enjoyed the photos.

I think photographing snails is pretty easy, since they don't tend to move away too fast. LOL
Seeing one on the grass is a nice feature!

Thanks! hehe yep they don't tend to run away :)

They're cool until you discover they're eating your harvest before you can :)
