The markhor (Capra falconeri) is a large goat. It is found in woodland in the Western Himalayas of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Kashmir.
Markhor are 65 to 115 centimeters tall at the shoulder. They as a rule weigh from 40 to 110 kilograms. Females are a tan shading with a white underbelly and an example of high contrast on the legs.
