Join us for a 'Will Workshop' (guests attend FREE) featuring Cal Friesen, a Partner of McRoberts Law Office, at Canadian Mennonite University on Saturday, September 7, 2019. About 7 out of 10 people do not have a Will. Even if you are fairly youthful (late teens~early 20's, or whatever), have few assets (but what if you win a lottery, inherit money from someone else's passing, marry someone rich, find buried treasure, get a great job, or succeed in business?), or whatever else your reason for not having a Will might be, your 'Last Will & Testament' is often referred to as your 'last love letter to your family', since passing without a Will can wreak havoc on your family, but having a Will in place shows that you cared enough about the people left behind to have planned ahead in order to make things considerably easier for them. It’s wise, as well, to get your Living Will (also known as Healthcare Directive, Health Directive, Medical Power of Attorney, & other names) and Power of Attorney for Property (there are options, such as General Power of Attorney, Springing Power of Attorney, Selective Power of Attorney, & others) done at the same time.
