It's nearly time for the fastest Grand Slam of the tennis calendar. An exciting time for tennis fans who will be able to see the 'Big Four' in action! Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novac Djokavic and Andy Murray are all going to play.

Many tennis fans can never afford a ticket to watch a game live but TV coverage will be good. In UK (United Kingdom) the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) hold the contract. Elsewhere check this link: http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/atoz/tv_schedules.html

The Wimbledon Tennis Competition started back in 1877. Apart from the war years (1915 - 1918 and 1940 - 1945) the tournament has been an annual event. It is the only Grand Slam played on grass. As grass is the fastest surface to play on, it needs enormous expertise and talent.

Andy Murray, a previous winner of Wimbledon, will be hoping to repeat his success. He may well benefit from the home crowd!

This Grand Slam is steeped in tradition. Although fashions have changed over the years, white kit is still required. Of course, strawberries and cream are the delicious seasonal treat many enjoy while watching the tennis.

Make sure you follow this year's tournament!!
