Well well well, we haven't been treated to such sublime GOAT cheese in quite sometime. Federer's match against Nadal was an example of sheer class. Federer is so graceful, calm and controlled on grass, and let's not forget he has the most number of Championship wins at Wimbledon of all time for men's tennis.
On the other side of the net, Novak Djokovic remains the most fiercest returner the game has ever seen and currently sits at the throne as World No.1 as well as reigning Wimbledon Champion. Also to note, he's won the last 3 Grand Slams so is playing at top form.
We likely won't see a better era of tennis in our lifetimes. Federer is the greatest tennis player I have ever seen and it's amazing to have such fierce competitors playing at such an absurdly high level along side him for all this time.
I am rooting for the 37 year old Federer and I imagine most of the crowd will be too. Who wants to win it more badly? Time will tell.
