Hello Everyone
I do yoga sometimes and for breathing, I do Anulom Vilom yoga that helps to get oxygen in the mind. Some Yogas are better for breathing and help to have a relaxed mind. I am not regular but try to do it whenever I get time in the morning. these days since I work from home so morning gets too busy as I get at 6.30 and 7 am its my time to start work.
I did not know about Wim Hof so I did some research about him on the internet after the post shared by Piotr. I got to know that this about three things includes Breathing, Cold Therapy, and Commitment.
What is Wim Hof Method?
The Wim Hof Method is a simple, yet powerful method, based on the foundation of three pillars; Breathing, Cold Therapy, and Commitment. It's the combination of these three elements that make the Wim Hof Method uniquely powerful.
There are 3 parts to use this method and I choose to go with breathing as of now. I started doing breathing techniques in April month and its been 10 days of doing this activity.
Benefits of the Breathing activity-
This Breathing technique is very good to help on few things-
- Increase energy
- Sound Sleep
- Low anxiety and reduced stress
- Strong immunity
My Experience
As I mentioned that I use the internet to know more about it and also gone through the website https://www.wimhofmethod.com/ as it has lots of information about the technique.
First I did it for about 10 minutes and it was not much comfortable at all however I tried to do it for 10 minutes. The second day again I did not feel like doing it but I did it again. The third day was not much different and 4th was slightly better.
I remember when I started yoga for the first time then also it was not comfortable but later on I started liking it and here also I have gone through a similar experience. I can feel some noticeable difference in myself in form of better sleep. I feel like I am getting deep sleep these days and some sort of improvement in my stress level.
I many times feel that my mind is relaxed and I can focus more on the work. The last few days were problematic because some of my friends are covid infected and I was suspected of the same. I got my covid test done and last night got the report that is not positive. This took almost 3 days and within this period I did not feel much stress but I continued doing the breathing activity every day.
I am not sure if this is because of Wim Hof breathing but if it is then for sure I am doing good things every day. I can surely say that my sleep has gone better and this is something I can notice and feel. Although 10 days is not so long and I am going to do it every day for the rest of the month.
I never thought that a breathing technique can be so helpful and I am going to explore more of it in the month.
