On first pour, the Chateau La Croix Du Duc Bordeaux exhibited an almost dark cranberry color. Scents of currant and cassis prevail as this Bordeaux hits the glass and swirls about.
The stately, unassuming label, indicative of its French heritage, is plain in its beige, nearly uniform design. The bottle's dark visage underscoring the strong fruit color contained within, bears an ornate suncross.
Full of black cherry, the Chateau La Croix Du Duc Bordeaux delivers a burst of fruit to the palate. Rich plum and fine tannins rule as this nectar breathes life into your mouth. The subtle blend, an 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc & 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vivino, the free wine app, rates Chateau La Croix Du Duc Bordeaux a 3.7 with a limited number of reviews. I might hedge a bit higher as the price, at $10.99, is truly a bargain wine lover's value. This smooth, and a true Bordeaux, Chateau La Croix Du Duc offers the best of French Bordeaux at a value price.
Perfect with beef, veal, or poultry, I enjoyed this with a nice pork loin followed by a small serving of mixed nuts.
The 2015 Chateau La Croix Du Duc Bordeaux is a great deal and deserving of your table.

@braveboat That wine would one that I would try. I'm thinking that it would be rich in both body and flavour. The photo would also be great in b&w for the 7 day photo challenge. I'm looking for a few people to nominate for the week if interested.

Great! I think you'd really like it! Do I need to make a new post for the B&W challenge?

Essentially, I would nominate you and you would post a b&w photo every day for 7 days about your life with no explanation having people guess why you have posted it. My friend Barry Dutton says that it helps people to gain experience and rise up the ranks. Take a look at my page as he nominated me today. You would copy the post after nomination word for word with your own photo and try to nominate others each day for seven days with a new photo each day.

It is fun, this 7 day thing.
It is easy and I have learned some good sites to use to simply plop a photo into, and use the menus for B+W / Monochrome conversion.
@boodles17 is a good sport, help her out w the challenge and have some fun too.
