California Cannabis + Wine = Happy 2018!

I learned a few interesting things today reading the Rebel Coast Winery website. Actually it's not their official winery site and I will explain why shortly but for now let's focus on these interesting things that are in common for Wine and Marijuana, besides the obvious mood enhancing qualities. Both grapes and cannabis love the same climate and soil and een harvest around the same time in September-October. These interesting facts did not escape the attention of many California wine makers, especially now that the famous California proposition 64, legalized the consumption of Marijuana recreational adult use. Rebel Coast are an adventurous California winery and are the first to go into the market with a cannabis-infused Sauvignon Blanc. According to the new law, alcohol and THC cannot be combined in the same product or even marketed or sold at the same location. So Rebel Coast had to figure out how to take out the alcohol contents of the wine, while infusing it with a herbal buzz. And Voila! A wine that gives no hangovers. They also had to create a whole new company and website to sell the new product. If you are in the USA and in a state that legalized it, you can look it up at the stores. Now lets see who will be the first to also distill this stuff.
