Hey again, steemitizens!

I am just proud as heck and pleased as punch to announce that I won a steemit writing contest today!

The contest was about "50 Word Stories" and it is presented by the esteemed steemitizen, @ogochukwu using the tag #fiftywords which you can use to see contest info and other entries from prior and current contests that are underway!

Here is what became my winning 50 word story:

Two days passed since he went outside.
The curtains drawn, preventing monitor glare.
No sleep in days and only some old, cold pizza 28 hours ago.
Coffee fueled his fingers. Code filled his brain.
"Just need to delete these log files and it's done."
"Oh crap, not delete all!"

I won $6 in steem dollars for that!
(And 150 "tail", whatever that means...)

So let this be a notice or reminder to all of you! There is always some kind of writing, art, photo or other kind of contest running on steemit, and it's yet another way to find some gains in the platform for your efforts and hobbies! Do searches for contests and see what might interest you! There may be some winnings in it for you! I was surprised to win this first contest I entered, but you can bet that it won't be the last time I compete on steemit!
