Rule #1 . Read the rules of the contest / sweepstakes

Rule #2. Be consistent

Rule #3. Be organized. If you want to increase your odds of winning, you need to be organized.

For starters, if you enter any limited entry contests, such as 1 entry per household or 1 entry per person, it's helpful to start a ledger to keep track of the contests that you have entered. This may seem unnecessary or tedious however, once you start regularly committing some time to entering you will find that there are many contests that will ressemble each other, perhaps using the same movie characters or giving away the same prizes, or even identical contests from the same sponsor but with a new entry period. If you have a ledger that states the sponsor, the date of the end of the promotion, who you entered, the prize and whichever field you find relevant, it will makes things much easier for you and will help you to maximize your odds or winning. I have been running a (excel / numbers) ledger of active contests for years and I also have a ledger for expired contests and I simply sort them by sponsor when I want to double check if I've already entered a contest. By sorting them by date, I can cut and paste the expired ones into my expired file.

Also, to help maximize your entries, you can bookmark the multiple entry contests you find into daily, weekly, monthly, unlimited categories in on your computer. Just make it a habit to visit them as often as permitted. If you start to have a lot of daily contests, you may wish to break them down into sub folders, you can organize them however you wish, perhaps it will motivate you more, especially for starters, to organize them by type of prize ex: trips, television, cash or whatever it is you are interested in winning. Or perhaps it will be easier to organize them by type of entry, for example, lately I like to put all gleam/rafflecopter entries together and then keep twitter contests seperately, it just makes it easier and faster for me to enter them in groups. When you bookmark a page you can start the name you give it with the date of expiry of the contest
Ex: 15.07.2018.genuinehealth.bicycle that way you will know once the contest has expired and it is time to stop entering it / delete it from your list.

Here's an example of my ledger.
