When People are younger they have stereotypes in their minds for their ideal partner. With women dreaming the handsome tall guy with the fit appearance that will make them happy, a prince that will provide for them and make them happy. Men are impressed with sexy gorgeous women to accompany them and fulfill their desires. Most of the times these stereotypes are being created by the society and the media (movies-news-television etc) that these loving relationships are represented between handsome guys or sexy beautiful women.
Reality though is much different. People build stereotypes as the ideal relationship because they look outside and not inside them. They create idols to admire because psychologically these idols (I dolls) are coming from a carefully served fairy tale. But real relationships are long lasting relationships, with deep connection from both sides, an understanding, passionate, loving relationship based on trust, respect and inspiration. And off course this is not the first priority for young women and men who are looking for a relationship in the first place.
They do not put these virtues as priorities in their future relationships but they focus on the external appearance which even if they manifest in their lives, almost always they will end with pain and false expectations. Focusing on the other persons healthy and positive characteristics and empowering them, is eventually going to benefit the relationship in the most amazing way.
People should not look for relationships with external criteria for the fulfillment of their desires for happiness, but they should look for virtues in other people and for loving relationships, which are based on love, trust, respect and freedom.
Looking for communicating in an other level with other people and deep understanding of your own self (love within) will bring you into a relationship that can last forever and can be a love relationship of passion, expansion, creation and freedom that will help you understand yourself and the other people.
