The beatitudes and misfortunes are frequently cited in the Bible, and the first example of this is the life of Cain and Abel (Genesis 4:1-11); with his offerings, Abel pleased God but Cain did not, and for that reason Cain killed Abel, we have to choose, we are like Abel or like Cain, we are friends or enemies of God. The prophets through the divine guide made constant use of beatitudes and misfortunes in their teachings, the prophets many times to teach, to warn, or to correct prophesied both blessings and misfortunes.
The prophet Isaiah, in front of the decline of the Kingdom of Judah due to their sins, announced 6 misadventures, let's remember that 6 represent the imperfection in the bible; these 6 curses are referred to the greedy, the intemperated, the swindlers, the liars, the proud, and all those who practice injustice:
"Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field till no space is left and you live alone in the land" Isaiah 5:8
"Woe to those who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine" Isaiah 5:11
"Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit, and wickedness as with cart ropes, to those who say, ´Let God hurry; let him hasten his work so we may see it" Isaiah 5:18-19.
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter" Isaiah 5:20
"Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight" Isaiah 5:21
"Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent" Isaiah 5:22-23.
A prophetic curse as Isaiah shows us in his book is not a condemnation, it is a call to spiritual reflection, because history repeats itself, and with Jesus, there is an Israel not according to the flesh but according to the spirit. The times in which Isaiah lived are not so different from the current ones, today we have famines in Africa and wars in Asia and Europe. We have to choose whether we work for God's plan or not.
