We all know someone in our lives we wish we could help protect. Friends or family who are facing rough times in any situation, but we just do not have the resources to give them the direct help they need. While not a substitute for professional help, as with all of witchcraft, this spell jar can help give that person the little added bit of protection they might need to get through whatever's going on and come out the other side safe.
This jar contains the following;
- Salt - All around considered to be a protective and purifying agent, so it functions as both for this jar.
- Sage - Holds a similar function to the salt, plus sage is used in a lot of cleansing ceremonies and the like.
- Rose Petals - To represent the love you hold for the person this jar is intended for, and so that they know someone out there loves and cares for them no matter what they're going through.
A jar like this might usually contain a taglock, but I opted against for this jar. The inclusion of one, be it a photo or written name of the person you're trying to protect, something they handled or gave to you, or even DNA taglocks such as hair or spit if they agree to that.
In addition to that, I added the four heart shaped beads to the top. After the first few dips in wax to seal the jar I pushed the beads in, then added a few layers on top to help seal them in place. I chose red for this jar because red represents passion and love, and the fierceness of protection against bad energies.
Simple and easy, nothing too hard to get hold of and it works wonders. It should be displayed openly, on a desk or window sill, and charged from time to time with whatever method but beyond that it's low-maintenance and can just look pretty.
