Witcher from Netflix. OK, I've got my butt on fire.

Hi, guys!

I've been away for a couple of days, you know, it's already time to let everything go and "jingle-bells". So I did. Yesterday my hubby returned from a business trip and we decided to check out what Netflix did to "Witcher". And that's why I'm writing this post now.

Damn, could it be worse? Of course it could. I have to think of how, but it's possible. Anyway, I liked Gerold. As someone who's familiar with both, books and games, I loved that he looks almost as in the third game, the Wild Hunt. But well, that's almost the only thing I loved about it.

I could talk about details a lot, but... Well, let's point out more general things. The plot. OK, books are inconsistent either, but if I was someone who never read Witcher series, watching what Netflix created I really doubt that I would understand what was going on on the screen with all these time loops.

Actors. Are you serieous? Triss older, than Yennifer? Black skinned Triss? Really? I'm not a racist or something, but there's a book canon. Don't try to make it better. Triss is while, red head young witch. Not that... Lady on the screen. And she's younger, than Yennifer. And Yeniffer is supposed to be an adult, confident woman, not that sweet girl obsessed with child birth, OK? Well, I mean she was obsessed, but don't you start with it.

Well, what can I say... Netflix buried Witcher under a huge layer of modern society issues. Was that really necessary?

I get your confusion. I've played all the games but haven't read a book and I still have some issues. If I was new to Witcher's universe - I wouldn't get what the hell is happening all the time.

I'm glad someone feels me pain, bro:)

I’ve only watched the first 3 Eps and I didn’t really get witcher vibes from it! Just seemed like a show that doesn’t know what it wants to be! Why do they have to force today’s issues into things like this? We want to escape from that sort of rhetoric! I’m not here to learn a lesson I’m here to enjoy the content

Lol I’ll finish it but then go back to the game

I haven't played the games, but I kept hearing good things online. Guess I won't bother. Thanks for saving me the trouble :)

I lost interest by the 2nd episode, which I tried twice to get through. I don't think I'll try it a third time. Gerald's voice is really annoying and fake. I get he's trying to mimic the game, but he should have found some middle ground.

I've been rather unimpressed with the 2 episodes that i have seen so far. I reckon I'll continue watching anyway but so far I am rather disappointed. I would imagine the producers are hoping to reach a wider audience than just fans of the games.
