[ES/EN] ʚ♡ɞ Witchy Challenge 2018 #2: Ritual ❀

Catching up with the challenge I introduced to you in my last post after spending the last few days on sketching and deciding what I’ll make for the next days on this challenge.

Al segundo día le corresponde el tema de los rituales, por los que decidí compartirles uno muy personal, que les ilustré con otra infografía. cosa que, como les dije, me gusta mucho hacer. Acá la lista de los demás temas del reto por día:

For the second day, we the prompt is Rituals, so I decided to share one of my personal rituals through an infographic, something that I already told you love to do. Here is the rest of proposed themes for the rest of the challenge:

Dado que este tema es sobre magia, ¿Por qué este ritual no se ve nada mágico, con pócimas y danzas al desnudo bajo la luna? Sencillo, porque un ritual es una serie de pasos que se realizan con un propósito. También porque en la magia realmente no hay reglas tan rígidas como se cree y casi todo tiene un valor simbólico. En este caso, la idea es hacer un ritual para acicalarnos tanto mental como físicamente. Limpiarnos de lo que no necesitamos y zambullirnos en lo que nos hace bien.

Since this challenge is about witchcraft and magic: Why isn’t there any magic potions and naked dancing under the moonlight? That’s simple: Because a ritual is a step by step process with a purpose, also, in magic there rules are not so rigid as we believe and almost eveything is symbolic. In this case, the idea is to follow a ritual for Mental and Physical grooming. Cleaning ourselves from the things we don’t need anymore and getting fondly with the things that are positive for us.

Al final de este proceso, bajo el resultado final, colocaré la traducción de la infografía, que, como les mencioné previamente, hago en inglés porque es el idioma con el que prefiero postear en instagram (y este es un reto propuesto por una usuaria de instagram).

At the end of this process, under the final result, I’ll put a translation in my native language. I made this in english because is the main language I use on Instagram (and this is a challenge created by an Instagram user).

Tras iniciar con mi boceto a lapiz, que al ser hecho con un lápiz H, no logro captarlo con mi cámara, inicié el delineado de las letras y esta vez escogí rellenar con color sólido y dejar espacios blancos para donde deberían estar las líneas. Algunas partes me costaron algo de tiempo y mucha paciencia para no perder el control de la tinta, pero estoy alegre con los resultados.

After tracing my sketch on pencil (an H pencil so my camera do not capture the lines without getting out of focus) I started tracing the letters on marker and this time I chose to fill with solid color while leaving blank spaces where the linework should be. Some parts were kind of difficult and required lots of patience for not letting the ink bleed out of control, but I quite like the result.

Me gustan mucho los espacios minimalistas, siempre me hacen sentir que se ven ordenados y apacibles.

I really like minimalistic spaces. I always feel they are so organized and peaceful. |

También quise reflejar la delicia de tomar un baño relajante, para mí es, sobre todo cuando también lavo mi cabello, una actividad terapéutica. Siempre me siento renovada.

I also wanted to show how nice it is to take a relaxing shower. For me it is specially when I wash my hair too, a therapeutic activity. I always end up feeling refreshed.

Quise ser inclusiva con esto, dado que a veces algunas personas sienten que este tipo de contenido es muy femenino y que deja a los chicos por fuera (lo cual carece mucho de sentido, porque las cosas no tienen género, a menos que utilices tus genitales para ello), por lo que quise incluir a un personaje con fluidez de género. No es chico ni chica, es quien tu quieres que sea, tomándose un tiempo para relajarse.

I wanted to be inclusive with this since some people sometimes get the feeling that this kind of content is too feminine and let male public unincluded (which is actually absurd since things are genderless unless you use your genitals for doing them) so I made a gender fluid character for this part. It’s not a male or a female, it’s whoever you want it to be having some relaxing time.

Me gusta mucho, aunque siento que lo puedo mejorar con más práctica. Pero me fue de mucha utilidad para explorar el uso de los marcadores. ¡¡¡Nos vemos la próxima, xoxo!!!
