Very interesting and informative all this, I really did not know that they were the processors and that they had so much work and were so important for the operation of steemit

    Yes, the witnesses do a lot of the heavy lifting behind the scenes. In addition, they are responsible for a lot of the third-party infrastructure as well. Things like SteemSQL, Steemdata, Utopian, etc. wouldn't be possible without the witnesses.
