Will the Steemit team please add a link to steemit.com/~witnesses on the SteemD witness list because this will help increase participation in witness voting? Currently the #1 place I review the witness rankings by checking every 5 minutes to see how much I have moved up is at https://steemd.com/witnesses.
To vote for a witness requires being at https://steemit.com/~witnesses. Isn't it incredibly logical to have a link to go vote for witnesses on the witness page on SteemD because this would take a very small amount of time and help voters interested in the witness process to go vote?
How did I end up asking for this?
After a month on Steemit including filming video courses and writing how to posts, I still did not know where to vote for witnesses despite going to https://steemd.com/witnesses several times and reading the "Learn more about DPOS" which does not have a link to vote for Steem witnesses because it is about Bitshares. I literally had to Google vote for Steem witnesses to find the page.
How many people skip Googling to find the voting page after being interested initially?
As I am starting my journey getting votes as a witness, what I am noticing is the surprisingly low participation of newer users in the voting process which is exactly how I started out too. While most of the original and early users are active in voting, few newer users even with a lot of Steem Power seem to be placing votes. Anything we can do to help encourage that I believe would help keep our witness list most representative of the community. Hopefully adding a link to the page which is easy to casually click on during an initial SteemD visit would encourage more people to cast a few votes.
