Witness Upgraded to 64GB RAM
Steem has recently encountered a point in its growth where block producers (witnesses) require more than 30GB of RAM. These requirement demands make it kind of cost restrictive for witness servers unless you have a lot of voter support. Thankfully, I am lucky enough to be able to count of my voter support to fund my witness server as well as extra development tasks related to Steem. In response to this, I have upgraded my witness and backup servers to 64GB RAM machines with 500GB SSD each.
SteemCreate Updates
SteemCreate has been doing a great job in serving as a secondary onboarding method for new Steemians. In the past 4 weeks, SteemCreate has been responsible for over 100 account creations; bringing the total since December 2016 to 205. SteemCreate is glad to be a part of helping this community grow and is constantly working towards improving the user experience of potential new users.
SteemDevs Constantly Growing
The other day SteemDevs Discord Server surpassed 500 members. This is a great milestone and we hope to see that number grow more and more. If you haven't joined us yet and are interested in Steem development, please come aboard and join some like minded people and ask your questions.
AppBase Testing Underway
Last but most definitely not least, Steem has released a testing candidate for AppBase. If you are a developer you should definitely check it out, build the branch, and do some testing. This way bugs and issues can be uncovered a bit sooner and be solved ASAP for a full release. If you need help building the Steem source code, look above for the SteemDevs discord link and come join and ask some questions.

Thank you for keeping us updated, it's definitely interesting to see the hardware required to run a witness server.
Do you think it will be harder to scale the equipment up in the future? What do you think the next bottleneck will be?

you have taken a very precise step, because the witness is needed for steemit. I've read a post made by our community member Nanggroe Steemit Community (NSC) about the importance of witnesses thank you @netuoso
