Hello steemians, and this time especially the fellow developer community.
There have been several of you complaining about too few public steemd nodes being available. I have been running one for PEvO since months, but didn't formally announce it. The last days I added another server, put the two behind a load balancer, and set up secure connections.
You can now direct your scripts to
ws://steemd.pevo.science or wss://steemd.pevo.science

Btw, would you be so kind to share the config of this node? Is it a full rpc node with all API's and Plugins enabled? What is the server spec? Location?

It's a full node, yes.
2 servers with different specs (all XEONs with SSDs, up to 256MB RAM), and I will add more as necessary. Everything is hosted in germany on 1Gbps right now.

I My respect for you @pharesim, I really like your writing on the develop,but I am new members and maybe other new members have their posting complaints do not get a vote, sometimes the post deserves high appreciation. That's nice. I've recently been looking for some fallback endpoints. SteemJS seems to have 3 hardcoded, with only the main one working. Maybe we should keep an updated record inside tools that requires websocket connection like SteemJS up to date.
