When @tjpezlo convinced me to be a witness we both knew it was a leap of faith. He was persistent and I was stubborn. What we knew of ourselves (for sure) is that we do not give up! We may rest (to live another day) but quitting was not an option.

My recent update as posted here was full of optimism. I learned a lot, and adapted the necessary change both technically and socially.

Producing this first block will be my inspiration to be even better the next time.

Lessons Learned

In addendum to my previous post about the things I learned. Here are some technical details that I should have taken a more serious look.

• Time syncing of the witness server
• Closely monitoring of the memory usage
• Pay attention more closely on the memory usage rather than the server load
• Disable the witness server when doing replays and system upgrades

These are but little concerns which TBH I have overlooked (and are easily overlooked).

Moving Forward

• I am now in the plans of upgrading the witness server to a 32GB to anticipate the growth of the blockchain. Implementation of which will be in a month or so.
• The plan of hosting the Weekly AMA at the Steemit Philippines Discord server is a GO. The date and time is finalized, however, I am yet to create a formal post for the details, rules and regulations and what not.
