I know very little about the techie side of all of this but from what I can tell the witnesses are the "wind beneath our wings" here on the Steemit blockchain. I need to make time to review some of the bios and see who is doing what. I see we can vote for 30, I think I have only voted for 6. Hmmmm!

Hi @timcliff. The more I explore about you and your blogs, the more you are winning my vote. First off, I respect that you produce this weekly summary of witness activities and do not keep any of the earnings. You are consistent with the values that you portray.

I like that you include all ranges of witnesses. I hope you could include a short profile of each witness in future posts. Perhaps that report already exists somewhere and I have found it yet. But if not, I would love to know the following:

Why did you become a witness?
What is your mission or focus?
What challenges have you faced last week or month and how did you resolve them?
Advice for new potential witnesses?
And finally, what have you been up to? (You have his part covered, but a short summary would be helpful to help readers determine if they want to explorer this witness)

Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing. I will be back for more.

I would like to help and I have an idea. I proposal that I write ‘The Inside Scoop - Witness Edition’ where some of my questions would be answered and I will add some details about the witnesses that I discover as I read through some their content. I will try my best to keep the content unbiased and stick to facts. You can be my first story if you are interested.

I share a group account, BeeYOU, that is heavily invested in #newbieresteemday, which is an initiative that supports and helps newbies learn and grow together. We are a new fun bunch of good hearted individuals. Our initiative is sponsored by Abh12345 and Coolguy123. Both received delegations from Fulltimegeek to help grow communities and we were lucky to be one of the sponsee. Some of our members are a part of Apolymask’s Information Finding contest which you recently donated $25 SBD.

I am new but I see great potential with the STEEM blockchain and Steemit. I want to support it and add my value by helping the good witnesses stay on top or get to the top. My proposal is that you allow me to write about you as a person, witness, and Steemiam. I think it would be helpful to our community and other to get to know a witness at a deeper level. I have a good feeling that the witnesses that I write about will see an uptick in votes. Now I understand that our low SP votes might not carry as much weight as a dolphin or whale, but we won’t be minnows forever. 50% of my post SBD earnings will be donated to #newbieresteemday in your name which will go towards upvoting newbies’ content. I am also open to donating 100% of the SBD earnings to the initiative or even follow your foot steps of not taking any of the SBDs and putting it back into the prize pool.

Does the frequency of reward claims affect the interest on SP?
Does an account with 0.001 STEEM vested as SP receive interest on it?
What is the minimal SP required to receive interest on vests?
If there is such a minimal threshold for receiving interest, and also if this threshold is 0, if there are two accounts above it, with one of them bigger 100 times than the other, will the bigger account receive a higher interest rate?

SP that has been held for 30 days will receive interest, so any SP you aren't claiming will not be "counting" for it's 30 days until you claim it.

No. It has the effect of a 50% vote.
Whatever your 'latest' vote is is the one that will 'count'.

I believe that you can only vote for the same post once per block (3 seconds).

This is why I used the word cumulative.
Because I was aware of it.
It was about the effect of 1 vote on the reward pool compared to the effect of 2 votes in 2 different scenarios.

Is it a guarantee that a block is created exactly every 3 seconds?

I so appreciate your doing these. I'm learning so much from reading things like this. Partly I'm learning how much I still have to learn, because a lot of these reports I don't quite understand LOL. It's amazing all the things the witnesses do to keep things running around here.

Wow, jack is a friend and now a witness. He wrote a very beautiful intro and I wish him the best. Thanks for putting this together or I might have missed him. In someguy123 tutorial he put 1h for the price feed, but some recommend 6 to 12 hours, what say you?

Also, if you were to visit me in Florida and had to choose between baking a cake or singing karaoke, which would you prefer to do?

Every witness should evaluate what is best for their price feed. Once every 6-12 hours should be OK though.

This seems like it takes quite a bit of work to compile. Perhaps nothing too difficult, but rather time consuming. Thanks for putting all of this info on the witnesses in one place. Makes it simple for us.

Also, just wanted to say that Steemit has given my life some real hope. Thank you for all of you efforts on the platform. You are changing the world.
