BuzzSteem Ep. 21 - @bethwheatcraft [Bitcoin's Future, Witnesses and National Singing Day]

Yeah I have noticed a lot of strange things happening lately. For days. on Steemd, my rep score has been at 55, but it hasn't budged off 54 on Steemit. It's ultimately not a big deal but I do wonder if it affects my voting at all.

From what I gather, your reputation will grow slower the higher it gets, and eventually slow to a crawl. I also noticed that when I go to my wallet I have a rep score of 25, but everywhere else I have a rep of 47. Your rep score does not have a bearing on your voting value; this is a function of Steem Power, voting power and account value. When the crash hit and Steem was headed for $2, my voting value went from .04 to .03, and now that Steem headed back towards the $4 mark, it drops from .03 to .02, why? My Steem Power went from 97 to 98, my bandwidth is at 90% and my voting power is at 91%.
I've been reading posts about how this voting value is calculated but found nothing so far that explains what is happening to mine.

I also noticed that the payout on my posts drop just before they are due. A couple of days before this recent crash, Steemworld stopped listing external SBD and Steem prices. Coincidence? Maybe, but no explanation was given..

Man my payouts have been taking a beating, even as Steem has been on the rise again. I don't understand how any of this works!

If you notice strange things, screenshot them. I'm doing the same thing on this end.

That's a good idea! One of my posts went from $70 to $28 by day 7. I thought that drop was pretty excessive! And I didn't have any downvotes.

I don't think I saw drops that big ever. Ok, screenshot your post value at it's peak and again on day 6 or 7. I noticed some drops, but I don't post as often as you do. It looks like they are correcting value in line with market value, but only on the down side; I have never seen it go the other way. Only one way to find out; gather the evidence on both post value and market value. If the drop matches market activity we'll know more.

I will start doing that! I wish I had done that to begin with!
