Quick update to confirm that my witness node has been running 0.19.5. Waiting to be scheduled for a block to produce. Keeping an eye out on reports of steemd crashing.
Also, to check if new posts are working.
Update: Generated first block on 0.19.5. All seems to be OK thus far.

yeah that was weird. so Steemit crashed or it was an update?
I made a post at the same time the platform went down, and I managed to view it. Post is now deleted, but at the time, my post was full of comments that were YEARS old. Upon refresh, the site went back to crashing. I wish I screenshotted it but I was at work. It was pretty strange.

That's a good question. I haven't set up anything on Steemauto, as I don't curate actively anymore. Perhaps you can follow great curation projects like steemstem and curie instead.
