Witness Update @ 6 October 2022 : pennsif.witness Seed Node

Thank you to everyone who has voted for @pennsif.witness so far.

It is great to have reached #65 in just a week.

This has encouraged me to add further to the technical capacity of my witness.

Today therefore I have activated a seed node at....

Seed Node Technical Specifications

My Seed Node has...

• 8 vCPU Cores
• 30Gb RAM
• 800GB SSD

It is hosted in the UK with Contabo.

I have also commissioned a backup Witness Server should there be any problems with my main witness server.

For added resilience this is hosted with a different hosting company in a different country to my Witness Server whhich is with Hetzner in Germany.

Next Up...

My next target is a Full API Node.

If all goes well this should be ready later next week.

@Pennsif.Witness will then be able to make a full contribution as a witness to the overall performance and resilience of the Steem platform.
