View this post on Hive: Retiring my Steem Witness

It has been two years and two weeks that I have started my Steem Witness node. It has been a fun experience getting from being invisible to reaching the top 50!

It is sad that things have been coming to this state but it is what it is.

I have now retired my Steem Witness node, you can now remove your vote for my witness.

Hi there

I've been reading through many comments related to new hive chain and I've seen your comment too. Many users are being torn, however majority seem to be moving to new hive.

Are you fully moving there or will you stay on both chains? Just curious. I'm trying to figure out what to do myself.

I'm 99% on Hive now.

Big Thx for your reply. I think i will stick around on both chains for time being.

I also figured that you may find this post interesting and worth your time:
https://steemit.com/hive-175254/@project.hope/project-hope-curation-trail-on-both-chains-steem-and-new-hive

It's post published by good friend of mine and I'm helping him to promote their curation trail.

Oh, I need to update that witness post!
Thanks

Will you leave Steemit?

Not yet.
But I will probably be less involved for now.

Voted for your Hive witness yesterday <3 Good luck!

Hey @creativeblue! Yes, I've moved to Hive. I need to write a post about 'why' but posts about Hive seem to get removed from steemit.com so I'm not even sure how useful that is. I use Hive as my number 1 platform and will just keep in touch with those I care about but don't want to move to Hive. I really feel there's huge opportunity on Hive, although Steem might still become something good if Justin is willing to listen to some of the users that understand economics and social media.

Good luck making your decision <3

Thank you for your work and contributions to Steem @quochuy! Much success with your plans ahead.

I guess steem will hit the reset switch now hey...

Steem still has a chance if the management put some thoughts in it and start doing the right thing. But things are not promising.

It will take time for the dust to settle, I'm still going to post on both platforms for max 3 months and compare interaction on both but I hope to be able to get some of the money back I spent on buying STEEM (I'm sure we all would)!

Who knows really, it's been less than a week since it all happened and the noise has quietened down somewhat.

Would like to see less "holier than thou" posts from Hive users though and just move on/focus on the road ahead

Whats odd is the jusin hasn't said a word in a week. I'm sure he's planning something though

We'll have to wait and see but I'd personally like to see a detailed timeline/roadmap of proposed development... Could be wishful thinking. I've seen many blockchain projects with roadmaps that have had the first hurdle missed which doesn't set a good precedent!

remember what he said: steemit is not qualified to be reported directly from him. He's not even in charge of all this stuff. lol

That's been typical since I joined, the management / owners have consistently made the wrong choices (the profitable choices, but damaging long term).
