Perhaps I haven't caught all Tron - Steem dialogue lately, but I'm concerned with how easily Steemians on the recent joint call took the potential bait that the buy side had noooo idea about the nature of the ninja-mined stake. "It's all Ned's fault."
Playing dumb is cute when it doesn't harm anyone.
We all know that Steem Power and membership in the inner circle equals intelligence and proactive risk mitigation to protect the community's best interests (or hopefully not the downfall of our blockchain). That's how these people got there while some less easily influenced people can watch from the sidelines. Regardless, there were some positives discussed for much needed progress.
Maybe their convenient excuse is true, but jumping to believe them and point fingers at Ned without getting his side feels pretty silly. Is this a case of instantly trusting someone who may not deserve the credit? For Ned, is he guilty until proven innocent?
Sounds like the perfect out to avoid legal issues and loss of reputation, put the fire out, and buy time.
They bought it!!
Sock-puppet witness accounts -> puppet Steemians?
If Tron didn't know about the disclosures regarding the ninja-mined stake, they could've let us know immediately weeks ago... not on a recorded call to cover malicious tracks. Let's call a spade a spade.
^--What do you think?
Hearing some people potentially be manipulated (blame shifting) isn't easy, but maybe they're being honest this time and have now earned our trust.
Legal discovery and proceedings will hopefully shed more light on this as lawyers seem to have been involved, but to the witnesses and key stakeholders (hackers), please use some common sense and not flip flop because someone told you what you wanted to hear.
Lack of critical thinking is what goes us all here in the first place, so let's step it up.
When in doubt, actions speak louder than words. If they remove their witness votes immediately, there's hope that their spiel has some credibility.
P.S. - Maybe they are telling the truth. We'll find out in time. This is just my initial feeling as these are smart business people who know what they're doing.
in my opinion it is a dawn of a new internet era in which users ARE stakeholders. The old facebook mentality is: we change YOU change too (or you go). Justin Sun is probably trained in the facebook ways.

Both sides are equally guilty here bro.. you said
Is this not how they (top witnesses) treated Sun? They assumed, speculated and FUD(ed) until there was a hostile environment which created this entire problem into existence with their amature softfork22.2. I
could have told youdid tell all the top witnesses that retaliation would occur at the highest level, and it did. Of course he used exchange funds, what option did he have? Bend to the will of the witnesses? No respectable business owner would be held hostage like that. So he had to do a show of force. And yet here everyone is backing the shithead witnesses who created this entire mess..Listen for yourself, he just wants to make money, the steem witnesses are the hostile ones here. I'm not saying Sun is right or a good guy, im just saying he didn't do anything malicious that deserved this action of freezing his paid for assets. If you bought something for 10 million dollars and then someone froze your assets and tried to lock you out of the company you would be pissed too..
as for what Sun "was going to do with steemit and his ninja mined stake" is literally all speculation now because we will NEVER KNOW! We never even gave him a chance to see if he was going to be a good change for steemit.. However we did know that @ned was the worst owner ever! A huge piece of shit and him selling steemit the way he did was one last HUGE FUCK YOU TO THE STEEMIT COMMUNITY! And yet people still want to stick up for him like he was good for steemit?!? LMAO, oh the irony!
We will never know the truth of what would've happened. Everything that happens from here on out is the fault of the 15 witnesses that made the decision to freeze Suns assets without any real grounds for it.
A promise or a text or tweet or whatever (about the ninja mined stake) is not enough to hold up in any real court. so any way you look at it, @ned fucked us again.. Regardless of whether or not Sun knew about the background of these funds..
Quit being bias and placing blame on the opposite side just because its the easy thing to do.. EVERYONE FUCKED UP! BOTH SIDES & NED TOO! So lets all start behaving like fucking adults, stop the blame games and fix the fucking problem!

Well said. I fully admit the high potential that both are responsible, I was just suggesting that people shouldn't be so gullible and shift all the blame game to Ned because Justin said some words on a call. Other than that point, I'll let your solid comment speak for itself. Part of why I posted was just to vent some thoughts after hearing the talk, but then again, this changes every day as one of Justin's last posts show.

Respect bro.. I feel ya.. People need to stop pointing fingers and just decided to start working together instead of fighting eachother.. There is insane amounts of potential here on the steem blockchain and everyone is bickering over some dumb bullshit speculation of what might have been or might not have been with this ninja mined stake..

I haven’t kept up with everything as it comes out but that certainly seems like a solid idea. Justin knows how to smooth things over to an extent. When the purchase happened, he said he wanted to work with the group. Granted the stake got soft forked out and he wasn’t planning on that, but fires were put out with that. Same scenario here? Is he making his next move, though slowly?

Just listen to this if you want to know whats going on, its a talk between Justin Sun and the top witnesses.. I do have to warn you tho, the witnesses come off as whiney little bitches in this pod cast. Their lack of business edicate is pathetic. They are rude and make countless demands while ignoring any kind of compromises trying to be made. It basically made me lose all hope in this chains "leaders" (aka witnesses).. Don't listen to me (or anyone else) tho, listen to this video and make ur own decisions..
