When we have the menstruation many times we are presented with clots, added to that gives us headache, colic and other discomforts.
Many times we worry about seeing those sachets of blood on the sanitary pad or on the toilet when we are going to change or urinate, it is not something serious and it is something normal, it is only the blood accumulated in the uterus, for so long that it is clotted. (More than when we meet in those days we just want to be in bed and in one position).
Menstruation is the expulsion of the mucus that covers the uterus, (endometrium) when you are not pregnant. Mostly the detachment is little by little, but other times it occurs suddenly and that is where we expel the clots.

It does not always happen every month, all the blood that flows in our body contains coagulant elements, even the one that we have in the uterus, however there are factors that influence the formation of the clots.

  • Stress, anxiety and anguish. These disorders can cause the delay of 3 to 8 days, causing the bleeding is greater and the clots will be larger.

  • Eating problems, a poor diet or changing your weight abruptly generates alterations in the levels of estrogen, which is the female hormone that regulates ovulation.

However, we must be very alert, the clots may not always be present, but when it happens with such frequency and intensity it is a sign that something is not working well. If this happens to you regularly the ideal is that you go to a specialist, you will have your diagnosis and the most appropriate treatment for your case.
