Following the first semi final between Stirling and Cambio Cumbre, the late night (10PM) kickoff between South Perth and Fremantle is sure to be a war to remember.
Women's semi final number two kicks off Friday 10.00 PM when Fremantle look to repeat last weeks 4-3 victory over South Perth. South Perth have struggled since losing their star goalkeeper Noi Pukkaew to a serious injury earlier on in the season, but managed to scrape into fourth and a semi finals spot when Perth AFC held rivals
Perth Aquile to a draw on the final matchday.
Naturally, South Perth come into this game as underdogs and the likes of Emma Ylias and Taya Coghlan must lift their intensity to see off Fremantle this Friday night.
Fremantle won't be counting their chickens though, but after a gallant performance against Series Futsal Champions in round 20, will fancy their chances. With stars Angela Cheiab, former Seattle Sounders MLS player Christiane Astorp, key playmaker Kim McCartney and Aquile convert Epril Nossent ready and firing, expect a big showing from the girls in black.
Fremantle have a massive supporter base, finished the season the stronger of the two clubs and will be favorites in the clash, but this is a knockout semi final and the perfect time for South Perth to put in an inspired performance and show that they can go all the way this season.
