New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney caused a stir at the Women on the Block event in Brooklyn, New York on May 13. The congresswoman promoted the “Satoshi is a female” as a theory to the true identity of Bitcoin’s creator that has been a mystery for over 10 years even in the face of the meteoric rise in the value and popularity of cryptocurrency. Technology and blockchain in particular are heavily male dominated industries however the KWHCoin team bucks the industry trend.
The KWHCoin team boasts sixty percent of its core team and Executive Board being women and their accomplishments over the brief history of the startup (7 months) should be recognized and held in high regard.
“Were the anomaly in blockchain and technology startups. Our team is predominantly women and minorities which gives us a unique and diverse perspective as we develop wide ranging solutions for our different energy markets. We have great chemistry and team synergy because there is so much diversity which fosters an open and non threatening environment for innovation and product development,” states KWHCoin CEO Girard Newkirk.

In case of an emergency, the platform is activated which alerts the registered paramedics located within the geo-mapped area connecting hospitals, blood banks, vehicles, and emergency support services all on one communication platform.
“In Kenya the economic cost of road crashes have been reported to be 5.6% while the loss of life and debilitating injuries can be prevented with a faster and more efficient emergency post crash response. It is our mission to use technology (blockchain technology) to make emergency response services smart, efficient and more reliable for Kenyans by saving lives and providing quality, timely, and sustainable emergency response,” states CEO Lucy Njuguna.
