The gratefulness is kind of a thing around here, so I thought to participate and list my own '10 things I am grateful for', but more for the personal gratification than for the actual contest created by @princessmewmew.
The things that make your life special, are seemingly harder to recognize, as we grow older and if we don't take enough time to acknowledge them we can even forget how lucky we are.
Same like anything else I might write about in the Steemit, these 10 things are no less epic, no matter how common they superficially look like.

💜 THE RULES FOR THE CONTEST💜

💜 Write a post listing ten good things in your life, or ten things or you are grateful for, or even ten things that make you happy, or a combination of these things
💜 Make sure you use the hashtag #wondrouswednesday and also tag me (@princessmewmew) somewhere in the post so I can be notified by my awesome Steemify app!
💜 Make sure to use the words Wondrous Wednesday Contest or something like that in your post title

1. Being alive

If not said before, I was a subject to a peculiar case of the drowning and once I've been pronounced periop. deceased. Both cases left others and myself puzzled, but those events definitely made me realize what a human being is willing to put up with in order to stay alive, what we wish and who we wish to live for, what kind of the strength we are able to acquire to stay in a game called life and how utterly beautiful everything looks like at the moment our heart give up on us.

2. Learning too young

I was raised in a family that was not a blueprint for my ideal home unit. So, instead of dealing with it through the most common means and drama, I decided to solve it practically and make my own family - the one that I always wanted for myself.

3. Having a child despite predictions

Yes, this looks common. It would be so if I were not told to be in fact infertile. My daughter is a miracle and she was born without any complications in a perfect state of health. The day I delivered her to this world was and is the most beautiful day in my life.

4. Emotional synchronicity with own self

At numerous occasions, I had people accusing me of the emotional bleakness, but all that I could say in my defense was that I am no less a human being if I can't feel, express or be a victim of the destructive feelings such as the hate or jealousy. Short and ugly, many have to learn how to feel good about themselves hard way, while to me giving a zero hex comes quite natural.

5. Realistic expectations from the life, people, and situations

The biggest stress on a daily level is when a life serves you with the less: I am grateful that I can enjoy the things I already have and not wishing upon what is not possible. Patience comes a long way and hard work always pays out. Life is way too short to keep yourself in a constant state of a daydream and wishing upon greener pastures.

6. No vanity

Ego is a sense of self, and the vanity is a poison that makes it disproportional to reality and even dangerous. In terms of emotional contamination, I have a type of a brain that is geared towards benevolent inclines, and I could never understand without the excessive effort the distorted state of the mind that breeds another type of the seed.
I can't imagine living in that sort of a darkness gouging the mental efforts only towards the fear, rage, and lies.

7. Staying healthy

Aside from making a spectacle of my headaches, in medical terms, I have not a single condition. Till my present age, almost all of my living relatives experienced a harsh grasp of time through the certain conditions and illnesses. Once the doctor asked me how hard to hit his own head in order to become that healthy. At time it sounded funny to me, but I am extremely grateful for this because I know though what kind of a hell all the ill people go through on daily basis.

8. Doing a job which I truly love

One of a few things I am truly grateful to my husband for bringing home, was an internet antenna. With the power of the internet, I managed to make my capabilities and knowledge wider, and my own personal expression became my real self. I never regretted bringing the entity called the 'aschatria' to life as it made me more prolific human being.

9. Being able to enjoy the joke

Seeing a silver lining to every cloud is an art by itself, but being able to see a golden geese shooting above it makes the whole deal more rewarding. I think I would have to be braindead to revoke the ability to land a fair joke at any given moment either on my own account or Lord forgive us, somebody elses. The humor makes even the gloomiest days bearable and there is nothing better to bounce back on your feet but that unique feeling after admitting the comical dynamics behind the serious implications.

10. Empathy over the fear

I believe that having a decent amount of empathy toward others makes a person shine with positive energy and I believe that it is a crucial skill to make this world a better place. I know that the empathy is a card ridden by troubles, and if one wishes to play it the fears and doubts have to be gone or minimized. The fear makes the worst things possible, while the courage to express empathy and light beats all the odds and gives the world what it truly needs - the love.

These are my ten things for which I am truly grateful and I hope it will give others who read the ideas how to enrich their own book of life and help to see the beauty we are all surrounded with.
