In this episode of PLANE TALK I focus on the Stanley No. 92 Shoulder Plane and what distinguishes it from a rebate or rabbet plane.
A shoulder plane excels in the adjusting of the end grain of the shoulder portion of tenons. Not so much the tenon itself but the visible mating shoulder of the joint.
