In the Bavarian rainforest / Im bayerischen Regenwald (woodland-photography)

The evening mood in the forest near Neuburg on the Danube was not in the least clouded by the onset of rain. The air filled with fresh scent of mushrooms and mossy smell surrounded the trees. I realize that there is no rainforest in Europe, but great efforts are being made to grow the forests as naturally as possible.

Moving away from monocultures to mixed forests is slowly but surely bringing back the old primeval forests. And me again and again to the end of a path that suddenly stopped and was recaptured from nature. All images were created a few days ago, by clicking on them they can be viewed in high quality.

Die Abendstimmung im Wald bei Neuburg an der Donau wurde durch den einsetzenden Regen nicht im geringsten getrübt. Die Luft erfüllte sich mit frischem Duft von Pilzen und moosiger Geruch umgab die Bäume. Mir ist schon klar dass es keinen Regenwald in Europa gibt, aber es werden große Anstrengungen unternommen um die Wälder so natürlich wie möglich wachsen zu lassen.

Die Abkehr von Monokulturen hin zu Mischwäldern bringt uns langsam aber sicher die alten Urwälder zurück. Und mich immer wieder an das Ende eines Weges der plötzlich aufhört und von der Natur zurückgewonnen wurde.
