A couple more dumpster-diving wood projects

in woodworking •  7 years ago

Hi everyone,

While I was pulling pictures from my phone, I thought I'd share a couple more recent re-claimed wood projects.
TV stand, built to fit over our fireplace hearth. Made entirely from salvaged 2x6 lumber from a construction dumpster.IMG_20170329_1837533.jpg
3 pot planter with 2x4 benches all from construction dumpsters as well. IMG_20170521_1648364.jpg

😮 That TV stand looks gorgeous! Is that mesquite? Also, love the benches, I'm thinking of doing some of my own. Looks very simple. 😊

The tv stand is spruce 2"x6" lumber. I found about 20 or so 16' pieces in one site dumpster. The contractors always give me permission btw, and sometimes they even have their guys load my truck ;). The benches took me a couple weeks to do after work. Its mostly spruce or pine, some pressure treated lumber, beggers can't be choosers, they say.

Hey these look great! Love the frugal method to class up your living areas. :D

Love the planters-bench too, great work!

Thanks
