A small project for a gift

in woodworking •  7 years ago

Hi everyone

We decided to make a gift for a wedding were attending. Sometimes home made gifts mean more, and sometimes it's hard to know what to buy for people!

So into the frigid cold -30*C workshop to cut some pallet boards.

I took the pieces into the basement to glue them and stain them to build a sign.

I hung a twine from some eyelet screws and put felt pads on the back, and turned it over to wife to decorate.

It turned out pretty good, and has a whimsical bit of a vibe to it. I hope the happy couple like it!

Thanks for reading

That came out very nice, fat-elvis! I agree a lot of time homemade/personalized gifts can be the most meaningful. Happy New Year!

It's lovely to read (and see) someone else's projects, especially when it comes to upcycling pallets!

I've been using them for a number of projects, both inside and outside the house, and its such fun to create ... well, just create. lol

The sign turned out lovely, and I hope the lucky couple treasure it.
