Pallet furniture cheap and easy!

I see allot of pallet furniture that aren't very comfortable or easy. I've done this many times because it's so east and cheap!

Step 1

Take a old chisel and put it between the planks like on the picture. This way you hit the nail and you don't split the wood. It costs very little energy. You need 5 pallets preferably the same color and size. Take from 3 pallets the second and the fourth plank away.
Put two pallets on top of each other and fill the third pallet with all the planks you've now got. This results in smaller gaps between the planks. Much more comfortable!

Step 2

Take from the fourth pallet 2 of the legs and put them on a angle next to your pallets. The picture will explain. To make it all fit you need to cut a small edge of the blocks on the bottom. Draw the same triangle of both the blocks but do this mirrored! My triangle was 2 by 5 centimers.

Step 3

Saw this triangle away and nail the plank on a angle to the 3 pallets. The angle should ofcourse be the same on both sides. Also attach a plank to the middle blocks.

Stap 4

From the last pallet you remove the 3 legs and than you attach it to the other pallets. Saw the backrest a bit shorter if you like.

All in all it took me 30 minutes. Searching for the pallets took much longer :D

So let's go pallet hunting!

I like the way you make the pallet furniture. I have seen a lot in and about our neighbour hood. it is do expensive to buy I might as well buy a regular couvh or rack. if it was made like yours I wouldn't mind paying some one to make it. but I think some people just become greedy. good post @gogreenbuddy

Just make it yourself everyone can do it!

cool. I love making stuff from old pallets. Good work.

It's supercheap. In Poland not much is for free, but this is only a euro per pallet :)

I've also made a couple of 'sofas' with pallet wood a while ago. I wanted it to look more industrial, so I've placed wheels on them as well as below:

I haven't had much luck with pallets. They are a pain to disassemble and I always seem to scar up the surface or split them into flinders! Thanks for reading my Live Edge post! And thanks for your upvote too! CARRY ON!

No problem thanks for dropping by. If you attack the nails with a chisel it will go fine. Izzy swan also made something like a pallet popper. It's a easy source of planks for on the homestead or garden furniture!

Thanks I'll look him up on YouTube, I've watched some of his stuff before!

That is awesome! You could sell that for alot of money here in the USA. Do you sell your creations there is Poland?

People got no money for bullshit here :) People are much more handy and much closer to nature/recycling and being frugal. They just built it themselves.
In the Netherlands where I'm born I can also sell this for much but everything is also much more expensive :) ...

Wow. Its cool. I like it brother
