Welcome to part 5 everyone,
Judgement day has arrived and I must now cut up the doors.
I have not been looking forward to this as the doors are the main focal point. One small scratch could cause massive problems let alone a mistake in measurements.
So I double double (quadruple?) checked all measurements and carefully scribed the new shoulder lines.
In order to protect the door I put it on a blanket and also put some card on the underside of my jigsaw.
I then cut the top and bottom rails with the jigsaw.
Next I need to drill a hole in the edge of one of the panels so that I can get the jigsaw blade in by the middle rail.
Once I have cut the door stile off I then remove the panels. They are raised and fielded panel and I will need to reproduce the shape after the panel has been reduced in width.
And there we have it.
In the next post I will be cutting the new mortise and tenon joints and re gluing the doors.
I am constantly trying to improve my posts, videos and presentation.
I would welcome any feed back on any of my content

That is an extension I put on my home workshop. It has seen better days but still clearing it all up so it is suitable for videos. Thanks
