Man you gonna wear that lathe out....... Can't wait to get mine set up. I will be getting a jaw chuck for it but I have never used one so I'm gonna get into learning mode.....

I like the one I got. But not happy that each set of jaws is another 50 bucks.

Walnut is such a beautiful wood. What will you use for a finish on the piece?

I used an oil/wax combo I bought so long ago, the label fell off. Wood Doctor? Doctor Walnut? Something like that.

I've always used Minwax Antique Finish Oil for walnut. An old timer put me onto it many years ago. Doesn't color and dries clean and hard. I've also used it on some Purple Heart that I turned with good results.

Here it is at woodcraft. Takes forever to dry.
Can't really recommend it though. Was just trying to use it up.
