Curly maple with dramatic colors in the heartwood.

I found all this spectacular colorful curly maple in with the plain, cheap maple boards at a local lumber yard. Looking back I should have bought every bit of it they had. It was not really that great looking in the rough, so I cut it into bed slats, but once I oiled and polished it, I regretted that it would be hidden under a mattress forever. So, anyways, enjoy the pictures.

The wood makes me happy. I can not wait to redecorate with hardwood floors. Thanks for sharing.

Curly maple is awesome in most any form. The Menards here does that too. I have found some great curly and birdseye in there
