Pie Crust Tea Table, Leg Joint

I am ready to attach the legs to the spindle using a sliding dovetail.

First I marked out my saw cuts.

Then used a chisel to deepen the knife wall.

By sawing just to one side of the wall I get a clean cut.

A couple beauty shots of the finished dovetails.

Next time I will cut the dovetail grooves in the base of the spindle.

Love your work man........ You take the time to do it right every time....

Coming along nicely.

Thank you, thanks for looking.

Looking good. Good size dovetails, it is going to be a serious table.

Serious, yes, but also whimsical, with a glossy aftertaste. :)
