Pie Crust Tea Table — the Legs

Finally getting around to putting legs on my tea table.

Based on my drawings I cut the legs to a rough shape with a jigsaw from 5/4 walnut.

I glued them temporarily together for a preview.

Then rounded off all the sharp edges.

I used a rasp to refine the shape.

It leaves a pretty rough surface,

so I followed with a few passes with the scraper.

I still feel like it needs a little detail to refine the look, so next time I will add some beading along the bottom edge of each leg.

Looking good. Did you use sliding dovetails again? I couldn't tell from the picture.

Yes, I will post closeups later. That is not the spindle I end up using though.
