Sa pagkalugmok ng aking marupok na katawan
Na akala koy kasing tatag ng sino man
Aking nahinahuna ang mga alaalang nagsisibalikan
Na nais ko pang damhin at makamtan

Naalala ko pa noon ang mga mumunting galak
Na sa bawat pagpapalit ng iilang pilak
At sa mga nagdaan ay di tiyak
Ay napapawi ang mga lungkot at bawat iyak

Nais kong balikan ang nakalipas na panahon
Na kay aling Bebang lang nakatuon
Laking gulat ko lang ay laging nandoon
Ang matatamis at paborito kong mga turon

Simpleng buhay kasama ang barkada
Na ang bitbit lagi ay halagakhak at tawa
Kahit kadalasan ay napapasama
Iisa lang ang alam ko 'di nila ako iiwan twina

Sa mga bakanteng lote lang nakatambay
At tila sa tuwa ay di na maka agulapay
Na sa bawat isa'y tingin ay patas at pantay
Walang nanglalamangan peksman man mamatay!

Nakakatuwang isipin ang mga nagdaan
Na kahit ginto'y di mapapantayan
Iipunin ko ito magpakailanman
At ipagmamalaki kahit nino man

Hanggang ngayon akoy nag-aabang
Sa aking nalalabing panahon na araw na lang ang bilang
At sana saaking tuluyang pagkakalawang
Ay makita ang Kupas na larawan na aking hirang
