The Word For Today

It’s another beautiful day and it is always good to start the day with something worth starting the day with- THE WORD.

Matthew 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

This is a very popular place in the scripture but is the meaning and its consequences that popular?? If yes then our lives will be more guarded.

Now I want us to understand that it is our duty to determine how we receive the seed....that means if you guard your heart properly then the seed will bear fruits but if you leave your heart open, it becomes a pathway for all sort of creatures to creep in or rather it becomes filled with thorns or worse a heart of stone. You are to choose which you want to be. I know we all love to bear fruits but sometimes we see that our hearts are still a little bit rocky or harbouring some thorns and we wonder what to do next.

First make the decision that you want to bear fruits with the Word of God that you come across daily, then go to the one who can give you a heart of flesh; He is also called the husband man. He alone can turn this around but first you need to decide that you are willing because God works with willing people no matter their troubles and shortcomings, for as you comply to the will of God, He also attends to your shortcomings. No wonder David was called a man after God’s heart even after all his atrocities.
