What does it mean ?

Well according to the dictionaries..

-it means in Greek Mythology the food of gods, thought to offer immortality

-it means any food with an exquisite fragrance or delicious flavor

-it can also mean a frugal product used as food for ambrosia beetles

Origin

The word comes from Latin ambrosia ("food for gods"), from the Ancient Greek ambrotos, meaning "immortal". In both Greek and Roman mythology, only the immortals, gods and goddesses, could eat ambrosia. The first known use in English was around 15th century.
