Click play and hear it:

As fun as this word might be, it has some pretty interesting definitions.

What does it mean?

-it can be define as a thin sphere of liquid enclosing air or another gas

-it can be define as an air- or gas-filled spherical cavity in a liquid or a solidified liquid such as glass , synonym with "globule" , "blister", "drop" , "fizz" etc

-it is used to refer to a good or fortunate situation that is isolated from reality or unlikely to last , synonym with "illusion" , "delusion" , "dream" etc

-or used to refer to a significant, usually rapid, increase in asset prices that is soon followed by a collapse in prices and typically arises from speculation or enthusiasm rather than intrinsic increases in value

-it means a transparent domed cover or enclosure

-or a place or position that is protected from danger or unpleasant reality

-little did we know it can mean a marine mollusc that typically has a thin scroll-like shell

-and here is one meaning that is not so common: MAGNETIC BUBBLE , meaning a tiny movable magnetized cylindrical volume in a thin magnetic material that along with other like volumes can be used to represent a bit of information (as in a computer)

So , here we have the definitions for "bubble", how ever , used as a verb, bubbles , we get even more meanings:

-(of a liquid) form rising bubbles of gas or air

-make a bubbling sound

-be filled with an irrepressible positive feeling

-(of a feeling) become more intense and approach the point of being expressed

Origin

Apparently the word bubble comes from Middle English word bobel , also influenced by burble. It was used the first time around 1350-1400.

Cool. I noticed @complexring doing something similar, by having people write stories about random words. See descriptionsonthespot. There are tons of stories from cool words. For more thoughts, see #complexring.

I already follow him , thank you. I like to focus more on my favorite words in English.

Hmm I wonder how I missed clue, also clue "3" doesn't redirect to the right post but to the picture of the day.

Thank you for pointing out...i fixed it :)

My two twin nieces aged about 19 months love bubbles but they can't say it properly and call them "Babble". Then whenever they see me on Skype they either say "Maow" (Miao for cat because they love my cats) or they say "Babble" because they love bubbles. Strangely my cats are also fascinated by bubbles and whenever I go out in the garden they expect me to blow lots of bubbles for them. They run after them and burst them with their paws.

Ahahahahaahah ....soo funny ! Next time , take a picture. That would be one funny cat adventure.
