Starting out alone can be hard...

Starting out alone is hard, but following is so easy that, even the smart ones who are supposed to lead, just take the easy way out by following.

Having a dream can be a cause rather than a blessing at the early stages. It has got to be the most difficult thing anyone can confess to having an idea about 100%. I mean, why do you need to be the one to go to the drawing board? Why not just watch from afar? Why not take things the way they come and enjoy the crumbs as they are made to spill off the table? Dreams are good but hard to make happen!

I have been likened to couple of times to be the "Rebel of the lost cause" and, that isn't exactly a good thing if you ask me because, it just shows that I have been failing for as long as I remember.
Having a "do it yourself" mentality is a good thing but it is as well a really burdensome experience and can be awkwardly tiring.

I Feel Blessed!

Refusing to play by the popular rule has some way of making you being tagged a loser. A loser because, while your peers are moving ahead and forward with their lives based on what is available (short term), you are busy trying to start something different so you ride easy for a better part of your life (long term).
There are more followers than there are leaders and the reason is simple; only a few are ready to fail. Many are allergic to failure and the thought of it alone just repels them. Failure to many is a taboo and having them fail or admitting to fail is unacceptable.
"You cannot truly appreciate winning unless you have failed."
It is like I enter a shop to buy something and the seller tells me "this is original" and I immediately ask, "where is the fake one?" I ask that question because, I believe to point out the original, you must have the fake to make comparison otherwise, you may just be selling me the fake while calling it "original".
I believe that, you cannot be seen to be all knowing in the midst of everyone else who knows. That just is a defeat of your knowledge if you are constantly in the midst on the smart; why are you then knowledgeable? Someone needs to learn and another to teach.
I know it is easy to follow and that is why many will never be seen as taking the initiative because, they do not want to fail and they will be content with just winning while slaving than winning while living.
I recently lost a very juicy role with an organization because they felt I wasn't 100% committed to them (something that wasn't a problem until I started seeing results) and according to their word, "You must be 100% committed to working with us and cannot be seen doing anything else."
I wish I could, I wish I could just want to be comfortable running blind and not be self driven.
Did I lose out on that? Yes I did. Am I happy about it? No I am not. But I have to move on because, IT IS WHAT IT IS.

We as humans must work in coordination and cooperation with others because we are naturally social and it will be hard if we do things alone because indeed no man is an island. @ejemai

No man is an island for sure and we need each other to move ahead.
Stay awesome!

Indeed, failure is always a stepping stone to greatness. Loosing that job is not the end of better things to come. Sometimes it is not in man to control his actions. Nice post @ ejemai.
