Did you know that the Philippine workforce experiences one of the highest stress levels in Asia?
Over 42% of Filipino workers report that their stress levels have risen over the past few years and 52% of them work 2-3 hours even on holidays. In Southeast Asia, Filipinos were also the only ones that cited work-life balance as their top concern.
If you are experiencing extreme tiredness, failing health, lost time with barkadas and loved ones and work extra hours (tru overtime) you might have a poor balance between your work and personal life.
I want to give you tips that you can follow to maintain a well-balanced and happy life.
Manage your time. Plan ahead your daily tasks. Decide what are necessary and share your concerns and possible solutions with your supervisor(s) and co-workers.
Leave work at work. Separate work time from personal time.
Learn to say NO. Remember that it is fine to respectfully say No. When you quit accepting tasks out of guilt or a false sense of obligation, you’ll have more time for activities that are meaningful to you.
Care for yourself. Eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep and make time to relax. Engage in activities that can help you recharge. Exercise also helps to boost your energy.
Know when to seek help. Everyone needs help from time to time– from your colleagues, friends, and most importantly, your loved ones. Remembere that you can always reach out to people who can help you.
Remember, creating a healthy work-life balance is a continuous process, as your family, interests and work life circumstances change. Examine your priorities every now and then—and make changes, if necessary—to make sure you’re on track.
Thanks for reading.. I would highly appreciate if you can give also some tips to make a happy work life balance😊.
