HARD AT WORK WITH HEAVY EQUIPMENT EARLY IN THE MORNING!

MAKING SOME ROOM FOR THE MOBILE HOME

Part of what I have to do in order to prepare for getting a mobile home on our property is removing some more trees. In the photo above you can see that I've circled the ones that I needed to remove. There will be some more, but this is what I was starting with this morning. By placing the mobile home in this position we will still be able to keep the house site open while also being able to hook the mobile home up to power, water, and the septic system.

Last night my neighbor dropped off his front end loader with a backhoe attachment. This is a great tool for the job since you can first dig around the tree and then push it over. Since I've done this type of work with this machine before, I'm a lot quicker than I used to be.

In fact, in less than about an hour and half all of these trees except one were tipped over and ready to be cut up. YOu can see the one that I've still got to get under the bucket, and I've circled the base the that tree in case you need help finding it. I'm having problems with my chainsaw still, by a friend may be stopping over later to help me. For now I've still got some firewood to move and other things to work on, so I'm staying busy.

TIMBER!

That's a GIF of the last one that I tipped over this morning. I had wanted to take some progress photos, but got carried away being efficient and saving time. I still remembered to stop and record a video to make this GIF out of though. My normal photo helper Pinkie-Pepper was busy elsewhere with things like breakfast or school work.

I've still got plenty to do, but progress is progress. Also, having big machines to work with sure makes things like this go more quickly! Steem on my friends!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Now I see why that breakfast would have definitely not been enough😀.
Some heavy duty work you are doing here.
Where is this, the woods? Is it close to a town?

Yeah, big work needs a big breakfast. We are out in the woods.

I meant to ask you in your previous post, what time do your day begins, because, I remember when I was a child of four on my grandparents farm , they was up and at it before the sun rose.

I stay up after dark, but don't usually get up before the sun. I do when I have to, but try not to have to!

Job weldone, good to see your work.

Thank you!

when i can @papa-pepper want to be able to share with others

Looks great man, we've been clearing a lot of bush around here and heavy equipment is the way to go. I'm a bit too accident prone with the equipment though and I don't trust myself to borrow any, I always rent with the upgraded insurance.... lol.

Yeah. rented with upgraded insurance is a good choice! It still beats doing it by hand!

keep the spirit ,,, papa ,,, I believe you will do the best ,,,
but you must remain cautious ,,,
really a sophisticated tool ,,,
hopefully quickly finish what you want ,,,

I will be cautious, thank you!

U are welcome papa,,, :)

nice job @papa-pepper, you are always active in all things, i like people like you

if that's necessary, why not.
the important thing is that everything you do is useful.
I always support you @papa-pepper.
in everything you do, I will always give you the spirit,
but you have to fill the time to rest also @papa-pepper.

too hard. Eagerly waiting for the next.

A homesteaders work is never done, is it? At least you got to have fun with a "toy" in the process. We rented a skid steer for a project last summer and I had so much fun with it!

Yeah, neighbors with equipment is nice!

Um... that's too much fun. That should be regulated.

It probably is where you live!

@giokaceh

This machine is useful for lifting heavy equipment, many people use this machine without understanding, but this machine is used not only for heavy work but also for very small precautions.

It certainly has a variety of uses and can be a huge blessing for many jobs.

Pekerjaan bagus kawan sukses selalu

Looks like fun and an efficient way to remove the trees that you need to in order to add your mobile home to the property. We are in the process of clearing some trees right now too but don't get to play with the big toys unfortunately so I am slightly jealous of you lol. Have fun!
Ivy

Very nice the work

Playing with the big toys looks like fun!

Great post, i has upvote your blog 😊

I am fascinated by the thought of having a home out in the wild with the daily survival struggle. It inspires me. The peaceful feeling you must enjoy I envy greatly! Followed and upvoted!

that sure beats a pick and shovel

let us know when you have the finish product, good luck.

w000t! Now that is some awesome get er done stuff happening to get that mobile home placed!
Thrilled to see you moving forward!

I have done some tree work before. I did not take them down or cut them, but I had to help stack them, and there were hundreds of 4ft logs that we had to move. It was cool in the end though because we managed to make almost like a log stacked fence.

I've got one of those myself, a long fence-like line of 4 foot logs!

From an almost tool-less starter, you getting the hang of how to make life quicker and easier.
Well done, and by the time you are finished. You will have enough trees to build a log cabin,

Yup! I even had to buy a hammer and screw driver early on!

By the time you are finished, you will have a real "Man Cave" full of tools, and a lean-to for the big toys out the back.

I needed a manlift to restore and old Victorian home back in 2005-2009. It was used and I purchased it for $2000. I used it for 4 years, purchased a new pair of batteries for it for about $200. That;s all I put into it. When I was done with the house I gave it a sexy paint job and sold it for $1500. If I ever need a piece of equipment for a long time again I'll repeat the process. It is great to have a neighbor with a backhoe to borrow though.

This is massive and progress. You did a lot of hard work there Papa. I know those trees can't waste, hahahaha. How are you feeling Papa?

Tired, but I get to clean it all up tomorrow.

Your strength will be renewed daily, like that of th eagle, in Jesus name. Amen. Well done sir.

You are making plenty of progress now, @papa-pepper! In no time the trailer will be set up and the family will finally be on your homestead! Happy days ahead!

We are working on it!

Things are happening already. You'll be in your own home in no time.

Hey man I'm coming over to give you a hand at all that work 😉

Just kidding, I would love to.. I'm too far away! I've always wanted to learn to drive one of those front loaders. Are they difficult to maneuver?

You get carried away there, does look like great fun 💯🐒

That's what I'm talking about.
