While working like crazy to get a job finished for tomorrow my jigsaw exploded. luckily no injuries to me but it is dead, there is no rebuilding it. luckily Lidl had a new one for 30 quid which allowed Me to finish up.
I am quite puzzled as to why it blew apart ( see what I did there?) . I am quite gentle with my tools. I've had this one for years and it owes me nothing so I was kind of glad it went out with a bang.

Oops! Because it's a hand-held tool that experiences considerable vibration during operation, I suppose that structural fatigue in the casing would set in eventually. Probably the casing also holds everything else together although it's true that most people burn them out before bursting them. Perhaps that is a testament to your non-abuse of the motor
